DJ Rafael De La Cruz merges poetic lyricism, seductive rhythms, and uplifting melodies into every musical journey he creates.

A native New Yorker, Rafael was introduced to the blossoming electronic music underground by future house legend Roger Sanchez. While studying at Berkeley, he founded an event production company that eventually grew to include college campuses throughout California.

Rafael refined his DJ craft in San Francisco, performing alongside West Coast icons Miguel Migs, David Harness, Jay-J, and J-Boogie.

Mr. De La Cruz has also been at the center of dance music culture by co-creating and co- producing numerous innovative nightlife culture events including LIFT in San Francisco, collaborating with Marques Wyatt on DEEP in Los Angeles and producing soul☆brunch in New York City.

Rafael draws on a range of diverse & eclectic musical influences— from classic soul, funk, disco, new wave, latin, hip-hop, rock and R&B. These have shaped an irresistibly magnetic style that resonates with dance floors across the globe.

Rafí has gained acclaim for serving his personal “Bordeaux of dance music”—soulful, deep house flavors enriched with powerful vocals and driving afro-tech elements.

Affectionately known as “the RDLC,” Rafael has toured extensively—from Los Angeles to London, Sydney to São Paulo, Barcelona to Bali—sharing stages, opening concerts and playing high profile events with Earth Wind & Fire, The Killers, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Christina Aguilera, The Foo Fighters, Katy Perry, Pitbull, Pink, Elton John, Train, Jennifer Hudson, and Lenny Kravitz.
